The IP Department consists of vastly experienced
lawyers who are involved in the administration and management of
the IP Portfolio of numerous clients around the world.The department
also has the machinery and human resources to carry out Watch Service
free of charge on behalf of their client. This assist the client
in detecting instances of third party unauthorised use of their IP
rights.
The department assisted the UNDP (United Nations Development
Programme) in the worldwide registration of the NIPRISAN & NIPRIFAN
drugs. We also co-ordinated the WHO (World Health Organisation)-sponsored
Patent and Trademark registration of the EATSET Device (The Emergency
Blood Transfusion Device) all over the world.
The department also has some of its lawyers as WIPO (World Intellectual
Property Organisation) Consultants and they have delivered several
papers at international seminars on various IP Topics.The department
organized and hosted the first ever INTA (International Trademarks
Association) event in the form of a round table seminar in Nigeria. |
