LITIGATION AND ARBITRATION

Our litigation department comprises experienced and skilled advocates, including a fellow of the Institute of Arbitrations and an appointed Arbitrator of the World Intellectual Property Organisation ("WIPO"), who are able to assist our clients in the resolution of commercial disputes, which necessarily arise in the course of business.

he strategic location of our offices and the depth off experience and skill of our litigation department means we are well-placed to provide legal advice and representation at all levels of the Nigerian Courts and in arbitration proceedings, in respect of Commercial Insolvency, Intellectual Property, Shipping & Admiralty and Aviation matters.

Our services include, preparing relevant legal processes and applications, enforcing local and foreign judgements and arbitration awards, conducting appeals in the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court, located in the Federal Capital, Abuja.

We are also involved in initiating or opposing winding-up proceedings; advising liquidators and Receiver Managers on legal issues arising in the course of the liquidation and Receivership of companies.

We represent shipowners, charterers, freight forwarders, traders, P&I Clubs and other Marine Insurers in procuring the assets and securing the release of vessels, handling Maritime Insurance and Admiralty claims and claims arising out of international trade.

Our strong position in the field of Intellectual Property is partly attributable to our ability to consistently provide excellent service and results, in the prosecution and defence of Infringement actions and interim reliefs.
